This workshop introduces participants to the process of building a customized wooden stretched canvas from scratch. Participants will learn how to construct the frame, stretch the canvas, and apply gesso to create a finished surface ready for painting. Al-Rahma Mosque (the Floating Mosque)
Built in 1985 along Jeddah's old Corniche opposite the Islamic Port, covering roughly 2,400 square metres. The mosque stands on supports directly over the Red Sea, so its white dome appears to float when the tide rises — one of the first mosques in the world built over open water.
