Riyadh is hosting the 4th UNESCO Global Forum on the Ethics of Artificial Intelligence (GFEAI 2026) from 14–17 September 2026, co-hosted by the Saudi Data and AI Authority (SDAIA) and UNESCO, in collaboration with the International Center for AI Research and Ethics (ICAIRE). The forum will bring together ministers, policymakers, AI experts, international organisations, and researchers to advance global dialogue on the ethical development, governance, and responsible use of artificial intelligence, while marking the fifth anniversary of UNESCO's Recommendation on the Ethics of AI. Saudi Arabia's hosting of the forum coincides with the designation of 2026 as the Year of Artificial Intelligence and the Global AI Summit 2026 , organised by SDAIA in Riyadh from 15–17 September 2026 under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince, Prime Minister, and Chairman of SDAIA's Board of Directors, reinforcing Riyadh's position as a global centre for international AI dialogue, policy, and innovation.
