This workshop explores the transformation of Arabic calligraphy from a written system into a constructed wooden object. Participants engage with letterforms as structural elements rather than decorative motifs, translating them into physical compositions through a process that combines sketching, digital vectorization and fabrication. Course Objectives: Understand the structural logic of Arabic calligraphy beyond visual aesthetics Explore the relationship between language and material Develop the ability to translate two dimensional script into physical objects Learn the fundamentals of vector design for fabrication Gain awareness of wood properties and fabrication constraints Course Outcome
