‘ Red Sea Documentary Film Days ’ is accompanied by an extended public programme that includes talks and workshops for all ages. This panel discussion taking place at Hayy Cinema titled ‘The Way We See Us’ ( Saturday, June 10 at 6pm ) focusses on how filmmakers project themselves into plays, family and social memories to reveal intimate details that touch upon universal concerns around identity, personal and collective memory. Speakers include directors and producers: Abdulmohsin Almutairi ( Memories from the North, 2022) , Abdulwahab Bin Shaddad ( The King’s Poem, 2022) and Hala Lotfy ( My Lost Country, 2022) Biographies Abdulmohsin Almutairi is a Saudi Filmmaker whose films Nothing (2008) and Project (2009) were selected for the the Gulf Film Festival. Almutairi is Co-Founder of Talashi Films. a Saudi filmmakers group, founded in May 2008. Abdulwahab Bin Shaddad is a screenwriter and film director at Thmanyah Company for Publishing and Distribution.
