Program overview
Recess is back — and applications are open. An alternative afterschool arts programme for ambitious teens aged 14–17, based at Hayy Jameel. Over 12 weekly sessions, participants dive into contemporary art through studio practice, research, field trips to local galleries and artist studios, and mentorship from working creatives. Every student hand-binds their own portfolio throughout the programme, and the whole cohort comes together at the end for a real, student-led showcase.Whether you're into painting, printmaking, textiles, digital art, or still figuring it out — this is the place to start. Scholarships available on a need basis.
